API Recommended Practice (RP) 1162, Third Edition

On August 11, 2022, API published the Third Edition of API Recommended Practice (RP) 1162, Public Awareness Programs for Pipeline Operators. This latest edition addresses the management of public awareness programs for the operators of transmission, distribution and gathering pipelines as well as underground storage systems.

This site is intended to provide guidance to pipeline operators on the Third Edition as they consider it in the context of their Public Awareness Program.
